Tyumen Museum of Art

Today founded in 1957 as a picture-gallery Tyumen Regional Museum of Art is considered one of the best museum of Art in Ural region. The pride of the Art museum is a complete collection of paintings including a unique collection of Russian portrait art from 18th to 20th centuries, pictures of West European artists from 17th to 19th centuries and works of Soviet and modern artist and sculptors. Arts and crafts are represented here with porcelain of Emperor’s fabrics, collection of Tobolsk curved bones, earthware toys and such valuable things as English Wedgewood jar of 18th century and plate of delft-ware porcelain. Main exposition of Tyumen museum of Art presents paintings and sculptures of Russian artists of 20th century, Tobolsk curved bones, Russian sculpture of 60-90s, glass, ceramics, porcelain and many other precious objects.
