Roman-Catholic church of St. Joseph is situated in the historical center of the city just few minutes’ walk away from Tura Embankment and Historical Square. The building was erected in 1903-1906 with efforts of Polish community of Tyumen. In 1929 Soviet government closed the church. For many year it was used as a storage. In 1986 there was a scientific club, but after 1991 it was restored as a church again. In 1994 the first organ in Tyumen. In 1998 the church was returned under the governance of Tyumen Catholic community. Nowadays the church holds regular services.
