The Masharov's House Museum

The Masharov's House Museum is an ancient villa built in neoclassical style and previously belonged to N. Masharov, a famous manufacturer, one of the founders of iron industry in Tyumen. The museum represents a monument of the architecture of the end of the XIXth and the beginning of the XXth century and is famous for its luxurious décor. There are musical events organised traditionally and temporary exhibitions regularly arranged in the Masharov's House Museum. They take place in a chamber-like atmosphere of the cosy hall of the merchant's villa. The permanent exhibition called Family Book shows the family life of the end of the XIXth century. During the excursion to the house built in the end of the XIXth and the beginning of the XXth century, you can see the authentic items of the era gone by and find out about the bringing up and etiquette rules of a traditional family from Tyumen. The cost of adult's ticket is 100 RUB.
