Tura Embankment

Tura Embankment is the only four-level construction of a kind in Russia and one of the most popular places among of Tyumen citizens and guests to spend time at. Pedestrian Lovers’ Bridge nicely completes ensemble of embankment being a visit card of Tyumen. Respubliki Street starts rights here from the Lovers’ Bridge. It is the main through-passage of the city. If you leave Tura River behind your back across the street there are Regional Historical Museum, Memorial to the founders of Tyumen, on the right there is a building of Tyumen State Architectural University and Holy Trinity Monastery. For now only the half of building process is done. In the nearest future, it is planned to construct a second part on the other side of Tura River. While walking at the embankment you may meet monuments dedicated to the people whose lives were related with Tyumen. In summer there are fountains, teenagers on bikes and skateboards, jogging sportsmen or crowds of people singing and playing guitars – all these create a friendly atmosphere for having fun.
