Prelate Philophey Square

Prelate Philophey Square is located right at the Holy Trinity Monastery, the main creation of Siberian prelate. There is a monument to prelate Philophey on the square. Centre of composition is a figure of prelate, above him there is an arch crowned with a cross symbolizing a chapel dome. In his right hand he holds calling for the aboriginal population of Siberia and those who came – Cossacks. Prelate Philophey Square is a small but very cozy park. Walls of nearby monastery creates the ambience of calm. In spring when apple trees are in blossom this park is one of the most magnificent places in Tyumen.
