Tyumen Circus

History of Tyumen has already counted more than 150 years. 1839 is considered to be a year of foundation, at theat time people of the city could see performances of gymnasts for the first time. The first building of the circus appeared in Tyumen in august 1897. Tyumen Circus has gone through many things and periods of Russia and for a long time during the Soviet times all the performances were held under the tent shed. Nowaday modern and attractive building of the circus surpasses most of Russian circuses not only by exterior appearance but also by technical qualities. No wonder that visitors not knowing the peculiarities of the city very often confuses circus as a shopping mall. The general area of the circus has 5425 m², huge metal ball crowns the building of the circus illuminated at night. With the time Tyumen Circus has become one of main attractions of the city.
